I had a dream last night that I was in Manhattan
It was a stormy day I had my
best shoes on, and in
the midst of skyscrapers, traffic
endless museums I realized I forgot my
umbrella. When I crossed
Sixth Avenue, to take the subway,
a spaceship swooped down by
the curb partially obscuring the rear of
a taxicab.
A masked man leapt out.
"Where are you off to?" he asked.
"I'm on my way home for an umbrella," I told him.
"That's a long way to go to get away from a little rain."
