Rest in peace Odetta, singer, actress, guitarist, and passed just weeks shy of her 78th birthday, a dedicated spirit, "the Voice of the Civil Rights Movement" may now rejoice in knowing she is no longer "long, long, long way from home," and that her songs have found a permanent place in the hearts of all who love freedom and justice.
